They had a great time, but DID NOT enjoy the roller coaster! I though that it was going to be a nice, slow, kiddie-type ride. Boy was I wrong! It was a miniature full-fledged coaster! Grace and I loved it, but Colt and Ella were in tears by the time we got off the ride. Colt did, however, love the go karts he rode with Chris - he does love his "racers"!<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzfwCI8dpsF_aaW95WhSWC9lGXP-8iKhK5iLcDWqgssxmsCTdmVLdporbdexkKvUuENte7iN2hNINmAJkH-m4R5QJQkTwM9sSoUzUO_727_RAWo_N6hMSi5nKUKBCJiBS3F3ujI-uypNWV/s1600/FotoFlexer_Photo_PaigesCrossing.jpg"></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div>Andrea & Chris Singletonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07812967557765422046noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4278830101801882211.post-5696614022634163892011-07-06T14:14:00.002-04:002011-07-06T14:16:45.588-04:00Pokagon Trip, June 2011<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheJMU37xkEY03MP_TEN3MogfVRcl6VXUbEZBN7LHZzQO8h3aXn2hfVGFjrLBD7OJL7RM8pdpY1DWcW72pxESazmY0hhc_0GKM5BCAb-X_U3kJjXuwUvScS8SaOAbfhGSbZNKW2EJY1a_n0/s1600/FotoFlexer_Photo_Pokagon.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5626304479847865346" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheJMU37xkEY03MP_TEN3MogfVRcl6VXUbEZBN7LHZzQO8h3aXn2hfVGFjrLBD7OJL7RM8pdpY1DWcW72pxESazmY0hhc_0GKM5BCAb-X_U3kJjXuwUvScS8SaOAbfhGSbZNKW2EJY1a_n0/s320/FotoFlexer_Photo_Pokagon.jpg" /></a> Last month we took the kids to the beach at Pokagon and to ride horses at the stables at Pokagon. We didn't go last year because it was the same show we saw the year before, so we were excited to see that they brought a new show to our <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">town</span> this year! This year they out on the Princess Classics stories - a short synopsis of the stories that we all know and love: <em>Aladdin, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White,</em> and <em><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Mulan</span>. </em>Grace's Girl Scout troop<em> </em>got tickets for the girls, so all we had to pay for were tickets for Ella and me. We decided to make a girls' night out and went to Pizza Hut for dinner and then the show. We had such a great time! The only down side was the camera's battery ran down (I neglected to charge it before we left) right before Cinderella came on the ice. I did, however, get some really great pictures of the other princesses. This was by far the BEST one we've seen yet! Maybe next year, we'll get to take Daddy and Colt : )<br /><br /><div></div>Andrea & Chris Singletonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07812967557765422046noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4278830101801882211.post-18329970055461092322011-02-21T18:50:00.008-05:002011-03-07T19:49:12.851-05:00Colt's Second Birthday<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576295607363353346" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0x9U1S8NPxq_o959K1F1Fj8MFMtirA1gbsvrherTeFS4tytDjzimQmyZ4IAsq8EZDV9GMzqmE1HUoO3GJ7TrA5vhtBq5yjqGlUmvTbofNv8i8_ZiDAFtzv2YuDu0BXPWlXmIFvhioxuZR/s320/IMG_0100.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576295587538220866" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW0mIKizmQsoEz_QGuACkkLM4U_05yUDpol6mfj1pOrlffWsqF_z95nsWtzGX0fSBmNy1y5x_f0xRImt5nYDSf57NaA8nyjXh_1bREZqNJZUil5nmwQbRGEeXo_WLa_5kJMGq3y8zjxRcd/s320/IMG_0090.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576296086648838402" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVAQZkHLBvofRFycTWO-BRIaTaz6RFoDM8QhyqGuQp8yULIJue5UK3s2djv3a0DBVzw7W2MdN3RgbS2TQht7OgiIxsa_mp4wbcLAz0IIAfg1ilXFou1Voz9rKj5qT3bjXW7EFmgW_XxpG3/s320/IMG_0095.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576295578675125538" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisTWMnvo_OEd4GiPKOEaXeCpMXDJ2hmXDgBdKBPRmeiaGc_qWiVKTXiKGT5rTqpSojEDy_MsAUCK8gWUI04qt8Py39p1H272qGCvPuwlwxWVaIqN8aE4PBbRuSrLK1eMokkIQtsharzTPx/s320/IMG_0087.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 250px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576296318631260050" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq3gygPgJGYv6Lo_6pbVep7mikaQ_O66-UlOb7Y4N-9yzXbYbG7LaZ6Taocu3yskMXZEAUmjnh1XDcRD6FcgLJjCxpEVtgsgsL5jUESgq5wPoJPly9h2zrZdo8lSJWuk8lzeut4udFR3N1/s320/IMG_0114.JPG" /> Colt got some really great gifts! <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Everyone</span> was so thoughtful! It was great!! The kids a blast on the life sized pirate ship. There were sections filled with crafts and games, a snack area where the kids could make an edible fairy wand, and the fairy forest with bubbles. Colt especially liked the bubbles : ) I liked the little crocodile that made a tick-<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">tock</span> sound just like the movie. Ft. Wayne schools closed for those two days and then had two-hour delays the rest of the week - which is really unlike them! Grace ended up having three snow days. I think we ended up getting somewhere between 10-12 inches total. We also had another blizzard of sorts Saturday morning/afternoon which gave us about 4-5 more inches. We were very exited to go, however, when we got there, the amount of people there already was very daunting. I hadn't skated since I was about 12 or so, so I was way out of practice. The girls had never ice skated at all, so I knew I was in for it : ) Turns out I was right: we kept getting kicked at and pushed by teenagers, it was so busy that we could barely get beside the wall so I could steady the girls, and then Grace fell pretty hard and hurt her knee : ( We only got around the rink once when Ella said "this is horrible!" so we left. I think it would have been much more fun if I had had a chance to practice a little first and it wasn't so crowded. Maybe we'll try again before it closes for the season and maybe then it will be a better experience for the girls.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh20dCaaeheHlbwGthyphenhyphenkBmkh8Vn0nYyRxQLahTXUMvSB8hyphenhyphen_nm7x_LTPFvOlkmK1UFBfIDw0UXppbNDr0azQhmGaata9RbLk-g1XGq6o-Az29I4jijd3a5MDiswFngAcPKhighcScuchqTK/s1600/ice_skating.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557312480571895554" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh20dCaaeheHlbwGthyphenhyphenkBmkh8Vn0nYyRxQLahTXUMvSB8hyphenhyphen_nm7x_LTPFvOlkmK1UFBfIDw0UXppbNDr0azQhmGaata9RbLk-g1XGq6o-Az29I4jijd3a5MDiswFngAcPKhighcScuchqTK/s320/ice_skating.jpg" /></a><br /><div></div>Andrea & Chris Singletonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07812967557765422046noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4278830101801882211.post-61014424290071951672010-12-27T22:55:00.003-05:002010-12-27T22:59:39.055-05:00Pedicures<div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center">The girls and I decided that we were going to give <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">each other</span> pedicures - <span style="color:#ff0000;">R</span><span style="color:#ff6600;">A</span><span style="color:#ffff00;">I</span><span style="color:#009900;">N</span><span style="color:#3333ff;">B</span><span style="color:#6600cc;">O</span><span style="color:#ff99ff;">W</span> pedicures! I, unfortunately, didn't get to go this year because Colt was being very grouchy and uncooperative, so he and I stayed home while Chris took the girls.<br /><br />Overall, it was a great year and a great Holiday season and hopefully we'll have a wonderful New Year!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div><br /></div>Andrea & Chris Singletonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07812967557765422046noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4278830101801882211.post-91713278554685169122010-12-24T16:09:00.008-05:002010-12-26T07:57:58.439-05:00Merry Christmas from the Singletons!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ8lQpJnZMiaRfMBidDJo2FHktmD-ZzD8wT3pOS41f2OGEhF3KMog0k3tWrDoUdmA5oJ59u-DMJalzWsL9GMfqKsObyxEs1vUH4-pSqHQgS-eKqF-acpC41XNaeAt7iCU5AOQfI-qoEDn4/s1600/100_3013.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5554369171224851778" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 205px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 147px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ8lQpJnZMiaRfMBidDJo2FHktmD-ZzD8wT3pOS41f2OGEhF3KMog0k3tWrDoUdmA5oJ59u-DMJalzWsL9GMfqKsObyxEs1vUH4-pSqHQgS-eKqF-acpC41XNaeAt7iCU5AOQfI-qoEDn4/s320/100_3013.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Merry Christmas from the Singletons! I chose the Three Pigs to try first. Not too bad, if I do say so myself. I decided to do the "Red" pig a lighter color since I imagined her as a "she." <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOsiRlJ5r3fNaXe2vNGHGY3yXNbo47HHp89skZlmHZ4oWRlqdw_ehcl6kU7TQpuVXfT7xUHfrzOfY3uVHFZUhfT7wrlSGusY531smIDZ8cXqJzG6oVrHtPc_60HugDcvbWcroLoVUMby5C/s1600/100_3012.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5553698235729178146" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOsiRlJ5r3fNaXe2vNGHGY3yXNbo47HHp89skZlmHZ4oWRlqdw_ehcl6kU7TQpuVXfT7xUHfrzOfY3uVHFZUhfT7wrlSGusY531smIDZ8cXqJzG6oVrHtPc_60HugDcvbWcroLoVUMby5C/s320/100_3012.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /></div><div align="center"> Here is Little Miss Muffet. As I finish them, I will post the pictures here. I can cross stitch like on one's business, but these are my first attempts at embroidery. The designs are vintage kids' stories and nursery rhymes. If you've ever had them, you know how delicious they are! I finally got them right after 11 years! They would usually come out really thin and really dry, but this year they cam out perfect! It was nice that the school put on a show that was just for the first graders and their guests. The place was packed and I can't imagine what it would look like if all grades were there! Grace is the angel in the middle. The other two cuties are friends from her class. She practiced so much, even Ella knows the songs : ) This was out first program and, of course, got every second on tape - she didn't have a program last year. It was refreshing to see a program filled with songs that reflect the reason for the season - Grace goes to Catholic school, so all the songs except one were Christ-oriented and there was also a Nativity skit. It was beautiful!<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh59VzqF5eJXbJ8HPNFGJsLwmwSQwFMv8_geCNDsUtnF80-1xh8p62V-f4CS8dcTfoT5XvpZ0yH6kwGKhvASznSwoAtDRj5gZE0F_3CdmzVHiCT7ivPRFcuMmO4wnqFb7nJ3A9JNWAA30vI/s1600/100_2973.JPG"></a><br /><br /><div></div></div>Andrea & Chris Singletonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07812967557765422046noreply@blogger.com0
